What is a truck-rear hydraulic arrangement?
In road maintenance, patching equipment is mostly mounted at the rear of the truck and runs on the power of the vehicle instead of its own engine. The truck-rear hydraulic arrangement is this complete set-up: a hydraulic pump driven by the power take-off (PTO), an oil tank, a valve group, hose and fitting connections, and the cylinders and hydraulic motors that create the movement.
Thanks to this structure, lifting and lowering the patching unit, emptying the hopper and operating the application equipment are all done under operator control using power taken from the vehicle.
Why a hydraulic system?
Hydraulic systems produce high force in a small volume, allow movements to be controlled precisely and withstand demanding field conditions. The same hydraulic power source can be designed to feed more than one attachment, which makes it easier to use a single truck for different jobs such as patching, spreading or sweeping.
Configuration with Öncü Hidrolik
Correct sizing depends on the truck model, the PTO output and the flow and pressure required by the equipment. Because the pump, valves, cylinders, hoses and connection elements are all part of our product range, we can plan the system for your vehicle from a single source — and supply maintenance and spare parts from the same place.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which trucks can the hydraulic arrangement be fitted to?
Suitability is assessed according to the PTO output of the truck, its chassis structure and the power required by the equipment. Sharing the vehicle make and model is enough for a first assessment.
Can equipment other than the patching unit be operated?
Yes. As long as flow and pressure requirements match, the hydraulic power source can be designed to feed spreading, sweeping or lifting equipment as well. Stating which attachments will be used from the start is important for correct sizing.
How are maintenance and spare parts provided?
Components of the arrangement such as the pump, valves, hoses, fittings, seals and filters are in our hydraulic product catalogue; contact our team for maintenance and spare part needs.
